HeartCode® ACLS Part 1 is a Web-based, self-paced instructional program that uses eSimulation technology to allow students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. In this environment, students apply their knowledge to real-time decision making and skills development. Debriefings and coaching are provided immediately after each simulation to facilitate learning. After completing the cognitive portion of the course, students practice and test their skills with an AHA Instructor. Upon successful completion of the cognitive and skills tests, students receive a course completion card.This program presents 10 interactive, adult, in-hospital cases to teach the Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support treatment algorithms.

Unprepared or inexperienced students may require additional time to complete HeartCode ACLS Part 1. To be successful in any ACLS course, students should be able to identify ECG rhythms and should know pharmacology specific to cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiopulmonary emergencies before beginning the course. It is strongly recommended that students review the ACLS course materials contained within the program and complete the Precourse Self-Assessment prior to attempting the patient cases.

Following completion of Part 1; students must attend the AHA Skill Verification session which satisfies HeartCODE ACLS Parts 2 & 3 requirement.  Registration for the skills session is not included in the course fee.  Students must complete the skills session within 60 days of completion of Part 1.

HeartCode ACLS is not eligible for promo codes.

HeartCode® BLS Part 1 is a Web-based, self-paced instructional program that uses eSimulation technology to allow students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. In this environment, students apply their knowledge to real-time decision making and skills development. Debriefings and coaching are provided immediately after each simulation to facilitate learning. After completing the cognitive portion of the course, students practice and test their skills with an AHA Instructor or on a voice-assisted manikin (VAM) system. Upon successful completion of the cognitive and skills tests, students receive a course completion card.

Following completion of Part 1; students must attend the AHA Skills Verification to satisfy requirements for HeartCODE BLS Parts 2 & 3   Registration for the skills session is not included in the course fee.

HeartCode® PALS Part 1 is a web-based, self-directed program that teaches healthcare providers knowledge and skills needed to recognize and prevent cardiopulmonary arrest in infants and children.

This program uses eSimulation technology to allow students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. In this environment, students apply their knowledge to real-time decision-making and skills development. Debriefings and coaching are provided immediately after each simulation to facilitate learning about pediatric advanced life support.

Following completion of Part 1; students must attend the AHA Skills Verification to satisfy the HeartCODE PALS Parts 2 & 3 requirement.  Registration for the skills session is not included in the course fee.

Class Dates

 Friday, May 2, 2025, from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm

 Saturday, May 3, 2025, and Sunday, May 4, 2025, from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm

 Monday,  May 5, 2025, from 6:00pm until 10:00pm (Virtual Zoom)

 Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm.

 An additional 10 hours of independent study (no formal class) will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 (5 hours), and Wednesday, May 7, 2025 (5 hours). The independent study includes homework, research, reading, and presentation preparation.

 The course qualifies for 40 PA EMS Continuing Education Credits (Other Category).

The course tuition is all inclusive. Tuition (including the NR registration) is $1950.00  Tuition CAN BE DONE WITH A PAYMENT PLAN. Contact us for details. A nonrefundable administration fee of $150.00 non refundable registration fee will be charged to once the course is finalized. Tuition includes student software, e-textbook, uniform shirt, and AHA CPR re-certification. Check and Credit Cards (Visa/Master Card) Accepted.  Students are not required to have an EMS station affiliation to complete application or course.

*Please note that if you have a positive criminal history, your ability to be certified as an EMT is at the discretion of the Pennsylvania Department of Health, Bureau of EMS. Completion of the program does not guarantee certification.

All classes have a minimum and maximum enrollment. Should the minimum not be met, the class will be cancelled and students will be given the option to join a different class or refunded. When the maximum enrollment is met, the class becomes closed to new registrations. 

Please note that the BEMS training institute does not allow for missed class time. Please review the course schedule to make sure that you will be able to attend all classes prior to registering.  You will be required to do clinical time outside of the classroom days.  

                                      This is an e-textbook course so access to a computer and internet are mandatory.  

Prerequisite: You must  provide a current Pa. State Background Check within 1 year of registration and a current Child Abuse Clearance within 1 year of registration. Requirments for clinical experience include current COVID and Flu vaccine documentation.

Once a student’s meets all requirements for completion of the EMT program, they will be required to successfully pass the National Registry of  Emergency Medical Technicians- EMT cognitive and psychomotor exams in order to become certified by NR and Pennsylvania DOH-EMS

Note: Payment is due 2 weeks prior to the start of class, we do offer a payment plan for this course. If your organization is paying, please provide a contact name, email address, name of the company and physical address for the company so we can invoice them. Classes must have a minimum enrollment of at least 8 students to be conducted. If the minimum is not met, the class will not be held. Please note that the BEMS training institute does NOT allow for missed class time. Please review the course schedule to make sure that you will be able to attend all classes prior to registering. The graduate is required to pass the NREMT cognitive exam at Pearson Vue Learning Center once the graduate has successfully completed the PA Department of Health Bureau of EMS psychomotor examination. The cost for this cognitive exam this fee is not covered by your tuition. *Please note you must be 16 years of age prior to taking the PA DOH Exams at the end of class! 

STUDENTS WHO REGISTER FOR THIS COURSE BUT WHO DO NOT CANCEL WITH AT LEAST FOURTEEN (14) DAYS NOTICE OR WHO DO NOT SHOW FOR CLASS WILL BE CHARGED FOR THE FULL AMOUNT OF THE COURSE TO THE CREDIT CARD FOR WHICH THEY REGISTERED.
