The primary focus of the Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) is to provide basic and limited advanced emergency medical care and transportation for critical and emergent patients who access the emergency medical system (EMS). This individual possesses the basic knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care and transportation. AEMTs function as part of a comprehensive EMS response, under medical oversight. AEMTs perform interventions with the basic and advanced equipment typically found on an ambulance. The AEMT is a link from the scene to the emergency health care system.

Tuition: $1,900 – All-Inclusive

  • American Heart Association CPR re-certification (if needed)

HeartCode® ACLS Part 1 is a Web-based, self-paced instructional program that uses eSimulation technology to allow students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. In this environment, students apply their knowledge to real-time decision making and skills development. Debriefings and coaching are provided immediately after each simulation to facilitate learning. After completing the cognitive portion of the course, students practice and test their skills with an AHA Instructor. Upon successful completion of the cognitive and skills tests, students receive a course completion card.This program presents 10 interactive, adult, in-hospital cases to teach the Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support treatment algorithms.

Unprepared or inexperienced students may require additional time to complete HeartCode ACLS Part 1. To be successful in any ACLS course, students should be able to identify ECG rhythms and should know pharmacology specific to cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiopulmonary emergencies before beginning the course. It is strongly recommended that students review the ACLS course materials contained within the program and complete the Precourse Self-Assessment prior to attempting the patient cases.

Following completion of Part 1; students must attend the AHA Skill Verification session which satisfies HeartCODE ACLS Parts 2 & 3 requirement.  Registration for the skills session is not included in the course fee.  Students must complete the skills session within 60 days of completion of Part 1.

HeartCode ACLS is not eligible for promo codes.

Following completion of Part 1; students must attend the AHA Skills Verification to satisfy requirements for HeartCODE BLS Parts 2 & 3   Registration for the skills session is not included in the course fee.

HeartCode® PALS Part 1 is a web-based, self-directed program that teaches healthcare providers knowledge and skills needed to recognize and prevent cardiopulmonary arrest in infants and children.

This program uses eSimulation technology to allow students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. In this environment, students apply their knowledge to real-time decision-making and skills development. Debriefings and coaching are provided immediately after each simulation to facilitate learning about pediatric advanced life support.

Following completion of Part 1; students must attend the AHA Skills Verification to satisfy the HeartCODE PALS Parts 2 & 3 requirement.  Registration for the skills session is not included in the course fee.

 Friday, March 27, 2026, from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm (Virtiual Zoom)

 Saturday, March 28, 2026, and Sunday, March 29, 2025, from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm

 Monday,  March 30, 2026, from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm (Virtual Zoom)

 Thursday, April 2 2026, from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm.

 An additional 10 hours of independent study (no formal class) will be held between Tuesday, March 31, 2026 and April 1st, 2026    (10 hours). The independent study includes homework, research, reading, and presentation preparation.

 The course qualifies for 40 PA EMS Continuing Education Credits (Other Category).

Course Cost: $300 paid at time of registration
